Of the five regions that the small, but wonderful, island of Mallorca is divided into, Palma occupies the centre. However, despite being in the middle, Palma has a beautiful coast and some of the beautiful beaches of Mallorca, though much smaller than the rest of provinces, because of the geographical makeup of the island. Beautiful Beaches of Mallorca Palma Area – Cala Major: This has long been one of the most favoured beach destinations in Mallorca, though the popularity declined after the area was converted into a residential lot than one that was focused primarily on tourism. This is being redefined and priorities being re-determined these days, thanks to renewed initiatives taken by the government towards promoting tourism. The regeneration efforts have borne fruit of late, with the initiatives being reflected in the larger beach and the finer grains of sand. The hotel complexes in close vicinity may turn out to be a distraction for some, while some may look upon them as opportunities to stay closer to the beach than ever. This is a fine beach for holidaying with family and children.

Beautiful Beaches of Mallorca Palma Area – Playa de Palma: This is as long a beach as you could possibly imagine beaches – with a distance of 4.6 kilometers, you would find the coastline immensely attractive to look at, with white sand and the gentle slope being enticing enough to get a lot of visitors to the waters. There are a lot many beach bars and restaurants at regular intervals to cater to hunger pangs. You may also opt to take a walk along the promenade that lines the beach. With a whole lot of umbrellas and shades, you would find the beach just the right one to relax and enjoy a day along the waters.

Beautiful Beaches of Mallorca Palma Area – Ca’n Pere Antoni: This is yet another beach that has a long promenade lining the coastline, though this is much shorter in comparison with the Playa de Palma. The coastline drops in much steeper than in the other two beaches in the Palma area, which makes the beach a bit less friendly for children on account of the increasing depths. There are no water sports, while you could hire sun loungers or grab a bite at the restaurant.
